USF Health provides biostatistics, epidemiology, and research methodology consultative services through a collaborative core, consisting of faculty from the Morsani College of Medicine and the College of Public Health. The overarching goal of the Core is to enhance research within the USF Health community. Like other cores, it is important to maintain a fiscally sound unit in order to have the best faculty, staff, and equipment available to perform these services and to be our collaborators. Cost recovery for consultation from this core is by grants, contracts, or on a fee-for-service basis. Students, medical residents, fellows, and others who are in training should contact their appropriate programs since there may be prior arrangements in place.

The Office of the Senior Vice President of USF Health has offered to provide funds for these consultative services for a limited time to encourage use of the Core. This represents an opportunity to take advantage of the Core’s superb expertise without a funding source.
